Today is the day you make your decision...stay with your poet-love for one more day and post a cento, or use your poet-love to inspire a poem entirely of your own making. Whatever the choice, post the link here!

Here’s where the thread gathered and paused, this one now mine. I think maybe the notion is still better in my head than here in word, but I do appreciate the new view this process has brought to my understanding of this one relationship.

Cento poem #3, inspired by the work of Li-Young Lee.

    Saving mother

  10. Hi, I am here with my third cento. But I am not ready to leave my poet just yet. #3 is called "hello, how are you?"

  11. I'm still creating centos using Nikki Giovanni's lines...I am nervous that I'm not writing these centos correctly.

This poem is from 4 different Nikki Giovanni poems.

The poems I used, in order: The Rain, One Stops on my Window Pane, For Just One Moment, and The Poem for Frances Brown.

    Anyway, here's the poem: http://evelynnalfred.blogspot.com/2010/02/fall-in-love-with-poet-mini-challenge_08.html

  13. The first cento was Lowell. The second, Bishop. Third, and last, belongs to them both:

    Cento: Bishop & Lowell:In Memoriam.
