Take one of your poems and chop it in half.
You can do this gently, by nudging away half the phrases or lines or words, thus ending up with a poem that is half the length of the original but -- hopefully -- double the impact.
You can also do this mercilessly: literally cut the poem in half. Keep the first half or the last half only. Do not keep anything from the half you toss. (This option may require you to add some new material to the piece in order to achieve movement or impact.)
What to do after you have written ...
1. Post a blog entry with the original poem, the new poem and anything you would like to say about your process.
2. Leave the link* in this forum anytime this week, Nov. 30-Dec. 6.
3. Visit the work of your fellow Revisionaries!
