This is not necessarily traditional nor untraditional. Song is poetry, so here’s a little ditty I wrote about a man in the doghouse. Hope you like it!

Oops. I thought I had posted it, but maybe in the wrong place. Here it is.
The Palm Reader’s Art
It’s been a while since I’ve left a link here, though I’m still writing a poem a week faithfully. Since the poems I’m writing are part of my own ongoing project, and don’t usually arise out of the prompts here, I’m never sure whether it’s appropriate to leave a link. But hey, why not, right?

Here’s mine, for the image prompt. I’ll try rhyme another time.
Yikes! When I set out to rhyme, it’s kind of uncomfortable. :0)

Here are my two related attempts this week… very rough drafts, and related to my inability to sleep at all this week! The end of the school year is really closing in on this teacher this year.
I loved the image! I think I’ll show it to my 8th grade students today and see what they can come up with.
