How is your month going? Are you holding fast to your NaPoWriMo commitment? Are you supporting your online friends as they strive to write a poem every day? If you need a little inspiration for your poems this week, perhaps these words can help, supplied by generous Beth and Claudia.
Participating in the Read Write Word prompt is simple. Try to incorporate as many (or as few) of the words below into a poem this week. Then you can provide a link to your poem in the comments of this post. Or, if you prefer, you can wait until Thursday’s Get Your Poem On post.
If you would like to help with the Read Write Word prompts, simply email a list of words you like to info at readwritepoem dot org. Enjoy!
All of our Read Write Word images are created using the Wordle site.

#13: Briny as a tidal pool
Used a couple of the words and the random word: confession.

I searched the word “green” on flickr, and found this photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/deniscollette/2369681836/, the title of which gave me my inspiration.
I am holding my own! I’m only a couple of days behind…too many guests this w/e!
I know where I’m from…it took some time to figure it out. (35 years!)
Been busy studying for an anatomy & physiology exam and doing homework!! But at least I wrote this on paper, but didn’t get a chance to post it! Enjoy!

here we go. two behind, eek.
White duck in a green pool, a “nature poem,” a little more cheery than the last few!
Of course I’m behind–I just can’t work that fast. (Plus, I “have a life” meaning, like most of us, I’m busy with other stuff.)
But this sure is fun and I am eager to try today’s prompt, word trails!
Yay! (I don’t think I’ve ever had that as a prompt, though I certainly have followed word trails and they are a part of how I work.)
I know this is really late, but I’ve been busy… I have nine poems to write today to catch up!
Here’s this one:
