My poem about missing someone

I sometimes think I see your shadow darting into the kitchen
Or hear your engine roar in my ear late at night
I slept clinging to the edge of the bed
While you stretched out in an elongated ballet pose
heavyweight under marmalade fur
And when the thunder split the sky
And the wind howled through the trees
We huddled together under the big pink doona
eyes tightly shut
You were my friend and my comfort
I will miss you all the days of my life.

I wrote this poem when I was ten. It was my first.

Spring is coming
Spring is coming
Flowers have come to life
Birds are singing
Churchbells ringing
Bowers smell of
Sweet scented spice

This is my third attempt @ posting a comment so I can share my 2nd poem but it's not working so i have my fingers crossed that it'll work this time.

So...without further adieu...

My (sort of) seasonal poem, (a.k.a. NaPoWriMo #1)
is here, and yesterday's NaPoWriMo effort is here.

Is it normal to hit Day Three and feel devoid of inspiration? And commitment-phobic?
