Has spring sprung for you? Are you making a new start on something? Or are you in the midst of autumn or a tropical storm?
Are you into NaPoWriMo madness, having been corrupted inspired by “the madwomen standing outside the supermarket door shoving poems into unsuspecting shoppers’ pockets?”
Share your poetry inspired by spring or other seasons. Or by Monday’s image prompt. Or by yesterday or today’s NaPoWriMo prompt. Or by anything at all. (We are not picky when it comes to inspiration!)

disregard the ramble after it. The poem is what matters.
I got inspired by my sixth graders and wrote an April Foolish poem… they begged for it, so it has regular trochaic rhythm and it rhymes. Not my usual bag, but hey.

I’ll be gone for a few days, so if you are new, comments might get caught in my spam filter. Read you all when I come back next week.

Wow! Keep it up, writers.
Spring
The first subject was one of my old poems about moonlight and drifting down a river, and the second was regarding a certain large object. Enjoy!
Event Horizon

Here is my second offering… I couldn’t think of what to write and so I wrote about not knowing what to write… right? Right. Write. Rite?

My (sort of) seasonal poem, (a.k.a. NaPoWriMo #1)
is here, and yesterday’s NaPoWriMo effort is here.
Is it normal to hit Day Three and feel devoid of inspiration? And commitment-phobic?
This isn’t a spring poem, but I’m saving that prompt for later…
Here’s a summer snapshot of Lac De Roche.
This is my third attempt @ posting a comment so I can share my 2nd poem but it’s not working so i have my fingers crossed that it’ll work this time.
So…without further adieu…

I only see your shadow
Bad link on #46, my bad, sorry me….
I only see your shadow
Jeeves (second post), I love your poem!
http://triatriatria.wordpress.com/2009/04/02/dandelions/
I wrote this poem when I was ten. It was my first.
Spring is coming
Spring is coming
Flowers have come to life
Birds are singing
Churchbells ringing
Bowers smell of
Sweet scented spice
My poem about missing someone
I sometimes think I see your shadow darting into the kitchen
Or hear your engine roar in my ear late at night
I slept clinging to the edge of the bed
While you stretched out in an elongated ballet pose
heavyweight under marmalade fur
And when the thunder split the sky
And the wind howled through the trees
We huddled together under the big pink doona
eyes tightly shut
You were my friend and my comfort
I will miss you all the days of my life.
