You know the drill! Respond to the image in any way you want with a poem. You can leave a link on the Thursday Get Your Poem On post if you like, and you can also (of course) leave a link Thursday to the Read Write Prompt. Enjoy!![]()
(Note: If you include this photo in your post along with your poem, make sure you credit the artist.)

This is a terrific photo.
Just curious: How do you stumble across these images?

Hi Philip,
All the images we use on RWP (except for Wordle and logos) are from Flickr.
We (mostly Dana to date) browse images that the artists allow us – and anyone – to use by way of a Creative Commons license.
http://www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
We love CC and the ability it gives people to share their work as they want to – completely openly, use it except for profit, mix and mash however you want to, or whatever limitations the artist wants to impose or lift. It is a terrific system.
We love Flickr, too.
(Thanks for asking.)
Deb
Thank-You Mr. Kingsley – Reminds me of New Brunswick, NJ late in the day after it’s finished raining.

Are we supposed to post our poems right away or wait until Thursday?
You can leave links now, but you’ll get more readership if you link Thursday, at the Get Your Poem On post.
Maybe I’ll do both:

Hi there! I’m so glad that you liked my image enough to use it as part of your rather snazzy setup here at readwritepoem.org. More than anything, I do love to see where my photos end up as a result of the completely open CC license they’re all rigged with. I really love the poems that have been published in response, too. Top stuff. Keep it up, guys and gals!
Oh, Martin. Nice to have you stop by!
Come back Thursday (today) to the Get Your Poem On post. There are likely to be other poems responding to your image.
So glad you are pleased!
