Founder and Lead Director
Dana Guthrie Martin founded Read Write Poem in 2007. She and her partner share their home with two hermit crabs, their hamster, and their hand puppets, Princess Baby Toes and Captain Baby Pants. Her work includes The Spare Room (Blood Pudding Press, 2009) and In the Space Where I Was, forthcoming from Slack Buddha Press.
Technology Director
Andre Tan is a web architect who specializes in art direction, digital media distribution and developing online communities. Andre can often be found acting, figure drawing or scheming up projects that take advantage of his MFA in film and television production from the University of Southern California.
Community Directors
Community director Deb Scott started writing poetry in the throes of angst-ridden pubescence. A long separation ensued until she ran into Pablo Neruda’s “Ode to the Dictionary.” She ended up finding Read Write Poem and loves its egalitarian nature, how it only wants to infuse poetry in everyday living. Deb writes at Stoney Moss.
Community director Nathan Moore plays with children and with fire, never at the same time. His work has appeared in numerous journals and can be found lying in piles throughout his suburban home. When he’s not writing poetry, he’s doing something else.
