I have three blogs: Writer Reading, Poetmouse, and Short and Shorter Still which are all inter-linked. The assignment made me think of Nested Stories, a story within a story, where someone in a story is told a story by another, which I think is a richer form than simply saying that “I” heard a story. Here is a short-story that could also be viewed as a prose poem that illustrates my idea of a nested story.

Finally, I did the prompt! Here it is:

We are glad you posted!
But everyone, please be patient if it doesn’t show up right away.
