A friend sent me the Julia Ward Howe essay, and I loved it. Take back Mother's Day from Hallmark! This year Mother's Day also marked the day my short story was published in Fickle Muses. So hurray for writers and writing. Celebrate creativity! I'm also looking forward to the variations on this theme of mothers.
